At our last meeting, we held our club assembly where we planned the next few months and what activities we shall be involved in. Club service is organising a few meetings away from our regular venue—Flavours of India, Hamilton Downs weekend working bee, Family Night at MacDonnell Ranges Holiday Park. All of these events can be found on the calendar. In early January we shall also be trialling a cocktail meeting. Whilst organizing is still in it’s infancy, it is hoped that the meetings for the month shall continue to be held at the current location of Elkira Motel, however the start time and menu shall be altered. Finger food at a 5:30pm start is the current plan and members shall be kept updated as the months flow on. We now have a new members only section of our website which can be found at http://www.stuartrotary.org.au/rotarians/. If members are unsure of the password to access this new area, they are encouraged to contact Webmaster Brad at webmasterATstuartrotary.org.au. Our members only section contains lists of upcoming guest speakers, a roster for Sergeant at Arms, regalia roster and also archives of our newsletter Wikaru. The International directorate brought up 2 main activities for the near future. One was the goal of sending our weekly international greeting via email to the club that has been toasted—it is with pleasure to also announce that this has been achieved. The next goal was for a return visit from the people involved with sending the medical supplies to villages in PNG. It is hoped this visit shall take place before the end of October. Vocational service is continuing with it’s Fine Young Centralian awards. More information on this project can be found on the Project List page. Community service has some functions coming up including Henley-on-Todd, Masters Games and the Postie bike challenge.
